1. Agreement and scope
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Sadra Makhmali, the individual operating the TEVRA service under the name “TEVRA” (“TEVRA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By signing in, completing onboarding, creating or joining an event, connecting with a buddy, or otherwise using the TEVRA Android app, web app, iOS app once released, or this website (the “Services”), you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms, including the Community Rules and Safety Guide contained in them. The separate Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled.
If you use the Services for an organization, such as a club, gym, or team, you represent that you have authority to bind it, and “you” includes that organization. Feature-specific terms control only for that feature if they expressly conflict with these Terms.
These Terms apply to the Services worldwide. Mandatory laws of the place where you live or receive the Services may still apply regardless of this wording.
2. Eligibility and age
You must be at least 16 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. You may not misstate your date of birth, enable a younger person to access the Services, or create content or events directed at children.
You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement and must not be prohibited by law, court order, sanctions, or another binding restriction from using the Services.
Your account is personal. You may not sell, rent, share, transfer, or create an account for someone else.
We may request proportionate age or eligibility information. Failure to provide it may result in restricted access or suspension.
3. What TEVRA does — and does not do
TEVRA is a tool for discovering sports events, meeting people who play the same sports, and tracking your activity. We may use your sports, activity, level, and other profile information to suggest events and buddies. A suggestion, ranking, level, streak, or leaderboard position is not an endorsement or a guarantee of anyone’s identity, background, fitness, qualifications, health, intentions, or safety.
We do not conduct background checks, continuously monitor users, supervise events, provide emergency response, inspect venues, check equipment, or insure activities. TEVRA is not a party to any arrangement, payment, coaching, service, or relationship between users. Users alone are responsible for the promises, permits, credentials, insurance, quality, and disputes arising from their arrangements.
TEVRA is not a medical or fitness-advice service. Calories, durations, points, levels, and health readings are estimates for motivation only and must not be relied on for medical decisions.
4. Accounts, truthful information, and security
Provide accurate, current information about yourself, including your name, date of birth, and sports. Impersonation, deceptive profiles, and use of another person’s image are prohibited.
You sign in with a Google or Apple account. Keep that account, your devices, and your sessions secure, and promptly tell us about suspicious access. TEVRA will never ask you for your Google or Apple password.
We may restrict sign-in, require additional checks, or temporarily lock an account to protect users, investigate abuse, or comply with law.
5. User Content and operational licence
“User Content” includes names, photos, event titles and descriptions, sports, times, activity logs, invitations, reports, feedback, and other information you submit. You retain ownership of your content and are responsible for its legality, accuracy, permissions, and consequences.
You grant TEVRA a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display, technically format, moderate, back up, and protect User Content solely to operate, improve, secure, and enforce the Services. The licence ends within a reasonable period after deletion, except for backups, safety evidence, legal obligations, dispute records, and content that has become part of other users’ events or leaderboards.
Upload only content you own or are authorized to use. Do not disclose another person’s location, identity, image, or other personal information without consent or another lawful basis.
6. Respect, consent, and fair play
Community Rules
Treat other players with respect, on and off the field. Connecting as buddies, joining an event, or training together is not consent to romance, sex, money, work, recording, physical contact beyond what the sport normally involves, or future contact. Consent must be freely given, specific, informed, and capable of being withdrawn at any time. The following are prohibited:
- Insults, profanity directed at others, humiliation, defamation, bullying, harassment, stalking, repeated unwanted connect requests or invitations, or contact after a request to stop;
- Threats, coercion, extortion, blackmail, doxxing, or threats to publish images or information;
- Unwanted sexual conduct or content, sexual exploitation, commercial sexual services, trafficking, or any sexualized conduct involving a minor;
- Hate speech, discriminatory abuse, or incitement of violence based on personal characteristics;
- Recording, photographing, publishing, or redistributing a person or their private information without consent and lawful authority;
- Scams, guaranteed-return claims, pyramid schemes, or concealed commercial solicitation.
These rules apply to profiles, events, invitations, linked networks, travel to and from events, in-person meetings, and off-platform conduct involving a person you met through TEVRA.
7. No political content or activity
Platform rule — separate from illegality
TEVRA is a sports platform, not a political forum. Political, partisan, electoral, governmental, or protest-related content or activity is prohibited in profiles, display names, photos, event titles and descriptions, and events arranged through TEVRA, even if you believe it is lawful, neutral, educational, satirical, or newsworthy. This is a contractual platform rule. Conduct has separate legal consequences only where applicable law independently makes it unlawful. This includes:
- Advocacy for or against a party, candidate, official, institution, movement, ideology, election, referendum, protest, or political campaign;
- Political organizing, recruitment, fundraising, polling, persuasion, slogans, symbols, manifestos, propaganda, news, or political analysis;
- Creating or coordinating an event for a political, governmental, electoral, security, or protest purpose.
We may remove political content or restrict an account without prior notice. Neutral information about generally applicable laws or venue requirements may be shared only to the extent needed for a safe, lawful activity.
8. Illegal, dangerous, and prohibited conduct
You may not use TEVRA to commit, plan, facilitate, teach, conceal, or finance crime or harm, including:
- Assault, abduction, unlawful restraint, robbery, theft, extortion, threats, vandalism, or other violence;
- Fraud, phishing, gambling or betting on events, forgery, unauthorized access, malware, data theft, or sale of accounts;
- Illegal weapons, drugs, performance-enhancing or controlled substances, contraband, or prohibited goods or services;
- Commercial sexual services, exploitation, trafficking, child sexual abuse material, grooming, or any inappropriate interaction with a minor;
- Promotion of self-harm, eating disorders, dangerous challenges, unsafe driving, or activities creating unreasonable risk to life or health;
- Coaching, personal training, medical, physiotherapy, or other regulated professional services without the required qualifications or licences;
- Infringement of intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, consumer, or other rights.
Each person remains responsible for their own criminal, civil, regulatory, tax, and contractual liability. A breach of these Terms is not automatically a crime, and TEVRA does not determine guilt or punishment. We may report suspected unlawful conduct and cooperate with competent authorities where required or permitted by law.
9. Sport, in-person safety, and assumption of risk
Safety Guide
Sport and physical activity carry an inherent risk of injury, illness, or, in rare cases, death. Meeting people you do not know can also result in theft, fraud, harassment, or violence. TEVRA cannot guarantee anyone’s identity, intent, fitness, or conduct. Your decision to join, host, travel to, or take part in an event is voluntary, and you must use precautions appropriate to the activity.
- Check with a doctor before starting a new or more intense activity, especially if you have a medical condition, an injury, or are pregnant. Stop if you feel pain, dizziness, or shortness of breath.
- Choose events that match your fitness and skill. A level shown in TEVRA is not a certification.
- Use proper equipment, warm up, stay hydrated, and check weather, terrain, and venue conditions.
- Hold first meetings in a well-lit, busy public place at a reasonable time. Avoid a stranger’s home, vehicle, or isolated location.
- Tell a trusted person where you are going, with whom, and when you expect to be back.
- Control your own transport, money, identification, medication, drinks, and belongings.
- Leave immediately if you feel unsafe. Contact local emergency services for imminent danger; a report in TEVRA is not an emergency service.
- Treat sudden venue changes, unannounced guests, requests for secrecy or money, and pressure to move off-platform as warning signs.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you knowingly assume the ordinary and reasonably foreseeable risks of the activities and interactions you choose. This assumption does not waive liability for TEVRA’s fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence where it cannot be waived, or any other non-excludable statutory duty.
10. Event host responsibilities
If you create an event, you must:
- Accurately describe the sport, time, duration, place, capacity, minimum level, difficulty, required equipment, cost if any, and material risks;
- Obtain any venue permission, licences, insurance, professional credentials, and safety measures required by law;
- Only create events you intend to host, and cancel promptly in the app if plans change;
- Not move an event to a private or materially riskier setting without participants’ informed agreement, and not bring undisclosed participants;
- Not disguise sales, paid coaching, recruitment, fundraising, or financial transactions as a social event;
- In an incident, contact emergency services first, preserve evidence only where safe, and then report the matter to TEVRA.
Hosts can remove participants from their events; use this fairly and not to harass. Creating or hosting an event, including one shown as hosted by the TEVRA Team, does not make any user our employee, agent, partner, contractor, or representative. Hosts are responsible for their acts, omissions, guests, venue, equipment, claims, and compliance obligations.
11. Activity logs, points, levels, and streaks
Log only activity you actually completed. Inflating durations or calories, logging events you did not attend, using multiple accounts, automating activity, or otherwise manipulating leaderboards, points, levels, streaks, challenges, or milestones is prohibited.
Points, levels, streaks, badges, and rewards have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and are not property. We may adjust, recalculate, reset, or remove them to correct errors, address manipulation, or change how the features work.
12. Reporting, moderation, and law enforcement
You can report accounts, events, or conduct to us at [email protected], and you can remove buddies and leave events in the app. Reports must be truthful, specific, and supported where possible. Knowingly false, manipulated, retaliatory, or abusive reports violate these Terms.
We may use human and automated review to remove or restrict content, cancel events, reduce visibility, disable features, lock accounts, or suspend or ban users. We may act without notice for imminent risk, severe violations, fraud, repeat conduct, evidence preservation, or legal obligations.
We do not promise to monitor all content or prevent all harm. We review reports proportionately to severity, legal duties, and available information, and to protect reporters or investigations we may not disclose every detail.
We may preserve and disclose relevant information when required or permitted by law, including in response to valid legal process, credible threats to life or safety, child exploitation, fraud, or serious crime. Deleting an account does not necessarily remove copies retained for safety, disputes, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
13. Privacy and health data
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, how it is shared, how long it is kept, and your rights. Sensitive data such as date of birth, gender, weight, height, and health readings is processed only as described there and as permitted by applicable law.
Connecting Apple Health or Health Connect is optional. Health readings are read on your device to help you fill in an activity log; you decide what to submit. A public profile or event makes selected information visible to its audience and may be copied by others. No privacy setting provides absolute security, so do not publish a home address, financial data, or information unnecessary for an event.
14. Price, app stores, and future paid features
TEVRA is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features, we will show the price, taxes, billing period, included features, renewal method, and cancellation terms before you buy, and you will not be charged without your consent. Purchases made through Google Play, the App Store, or another store may also be governed by that store’s terms. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Payments, cost-sharing, or fees agreed between users for an event, such as court or venue costs, are solely between those users and at their own risk. TEVRA is not a payment or money-transfer service.
15. Intellectual property and licence to use the app
The software, name, logo, marks, designs, system copy, databases, and technology are owned by TEVRA or its licensors. We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the released apps and website lawfully under these Terms.
You may not reverse engineer, scrape in bulk, crawl without permission, bypass controls, automate accounts, manipulate suggestions or rankings, conduct unauthorized security testing, resell access, or use the Services or their data to train a third-party system.
We may use voluntarily submitted feedback without payment to improve the Services, subject to privacy and confidentiality obligations.
16. Third-party services, automated systems, and availability
Google and Apple sign-in, Apple Health, Health Connect, app stores, maps, and third-party links are subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for their outages, conduct, or content except to the extent non-waivable law provides otherwise.
Suggestions, rankings, levels, and automated checks may be incomplete or wrong. Automated output is not professional advice or a guarantee. Tell us if you believe something is incorrect.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features for maintenance, security, legal requirements, or events outside our reasonable control. Continuous availability is not guaranteed.
17. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Mandatory-rights savings clause
This section applies only to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is prohibited.
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, absolute security, accuracy of User Content or health readings, user identity or intentions, number of buddies or participants, safe meetings, or activity outcomes.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TEVRA is not liable for user or third-party conduct, negligence, or omissions, including injuries sustained during sport or physical activity, insults, threats, theft, fraud, harassment, assault, loss of property, illness, or death, arising from events, travel, or in-person meetings, except where the loss is directly caused by a non-excludable legal responsibility of TEVRA.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude indirect, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, and loss-of-profit, data, goodwill, or opportunity damages. This exclusion does not apply where applicable law prohibits it.
18. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify TEVRA for direct losses, third-party claims, regulatory penalties, and reasonable defence costs arising from your breach, your User Content, an event you host, infringement of another person’s rights, or your unlawful conduct. We will provide reasonable notice where practicable. This obligation does not cover TEVRA’s independent negligence, fraud, or wilful misconduct.
19. Suspension, termination, and deletion
You may delete your account at any time in the app under Profile, Settings. We may restrict or terminate access for breaches, safety risk, fraud, legal process, prolonged inactivity, or discontinuation of the Services.
Provisions concerning ownership, evidence retention, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and disputes survive as necessary after termination.
20. Changes to these Terms
We will display the version and last-updated date. We will provide appropriate notice of material changes to rights, safety, data processing, or payments and obtain renewed acceptance where required. Changes will not apply retroactively unless lawful or more favorable to you.
21. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and any non-contractual dispute arising from or connected with them or the Services are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. Subject to any non-waivable right to bring a claim elsewhere, the courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer, data-protection, or other statutory rights that apply to you.
22. Regional and regulatory rights
If local law grants non-waivable cancellation, refund, content-notice, appeal, data-protection, accessibility, or court rights, those rights remain available. For users in the European Union or European Economic Area, content restrictions and moderation notices will be administered consistently with applicable Digital Services Act obligations where the Act applies. Privacy rights are governed by the Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.
You must comply with applicable export controls and sanctions. You may not use the Services where doing so would cause TEVRA or its providers to violate law.
23. General terms
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or severed only as necessary and the remainder will continue. Delay in enforcement is not a waiver. You may not assign this agreement without written consent. We may assign it in a lawful business transfer with required notice. These Terms and incorporated documents are the entire agreement concerning the Services. Headings aid reading and do not narrow the text.
